With the discussion of Wi-Fi 6 and 7 in the world of internet technology still ongoing, preparations have now begun for the arrival of Wi-Fi 8 in wireless internet technology.
Chipmaker Qualcomm has recently released a blog post detailing the key features of Wi-Fi 8, which is expected to arrive in 2028. According to Qualcomm, Wi-Fi 8 will change the definition of wireless connectivity. The company is developing Wi-Fi 8 with the concept of ‘ultra high reliability’. Its main objective is to provide stable and low-latency internet service even in complex, obstructed or crowded locations.“Wi-Fi 8 delivers stable and reliable internet service, even in crowded, obstructed or moving conditions,” said Rolf de Vegt, vice president of Qualcomm.
Previously released Wi-Fi versions prioritized maximum speed. But with Wi-Fi 8, Qualcomm has placed special emphasis on reliable service, the ability to work with minimal interruptions, and managing complex situations.
